Description
The two shelter the children at their home in Beaversdam upon their entrance to Narnia, feed them and first inform them of Aslan and the prophecy which directly refers to the four children as the means of the end of Jadis, the White Witch's reign. They also reveal that Mr. Tumnus has been taken prisoner by the White Witch; Mr Beaver had spoken to him just before his arrest and spoken to people who had seen him and his captors "heading northwards" - towards the White Witch's castle.
Edmund creeps out of the house to seek the Witch. Mr. Beaver is certain that Edmund has been with the witch, as he hadn't told the others what he'd done.
On Edmund's arrival at the witch's house, he lets loose that his siblings are in the care of the Beavers, prompting the Witch to order Maugrim and the her secret police to track them down.
Meanwhile, the Beavers and the other three children leave to join Aslan. On the way they take shelter in a small cave, where they are awakened by the arrival of Father Christmas, with presents for all. The Beavers then lead the children on, and soon arrive safely at the Stone Table.
Mr. Beaver is involved in the battle against the White Witch's army, which is eventually won as most of the enemy are eliminated by the time the Witch herself is killed.[1]
