Mount Tegge

Mount Tegge is an isolated mountain mass (1,570 m) located at the mouth of Embree Glacier, on the east side of the Sentinel Range in the Ellsworth Mountains. First mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1957-59. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for 1st Lieutenant Richard C. Tegge, United States Air Force (USAF), who participated in establishing the South Pole Station in the 1956-57 season.
