Mount McCrory

Mount McCrory (75°29′S 139°26′W / 75.483°S 139.433°W / -75.483; -139.433) is a mountain 2 nautical miles (3.7 km) east-southeast of Mount Vance in the east part of the Ickes Mountains, Marie Byrd Land. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1959-65. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Captain Eugene E. McCrory, USCG, Commanding Officer of USCGC Glacier, during Operation Deep Freeze 1969 and 1970.
