Mount Liavaag

Mount Liavaag (77°22′S 86°29′W / 77.367°S 86.483°W / -77.367; -86.483) is a mountain, 1,820 m, between Mount Holmboe and Holth Peaks near the north end of the Sentinel Range in the Ellsworth Mountains. Discovered by Lincoln Ellsworth on his trans-Antarctic flight of November 23, 1935. Named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for First Mate Liavaag of the Wyatt Earp in 1935-36, also a member of Ellsworth's two earlier Antarctic expeditions.
