Mount Kosciusko is a prominent mountain (2,910 m) that comprises the central portion of Ames Range in Marie Byrd Land. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1959-65. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Captain Henry M. Kosciusko, U.S. Navy, Commander of the Antarctic Support Activities group, 1965-67.
