Mount Kohnen

Mount Kohnen (75°0′S 134°47′W / 75°S 134.783°W / -75; -134.783) is a peak on the southwest corner of Bowyer Butte, in Marie Byrd Land. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1959-65. the peak was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Heinz Kohnen, a geophysicist at Byrd Station from 1970 to 1971.
