Mount Hawea (82°50′S 161°52′E / 82.833°S 161.867°E) is a peak, 3,080 m, standing 4 nautical miles (7 km) east of Mount Markham in the Frigate Range. Named by the northern party of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (NZGSAE) (1961-62) for the New Zealand frigate, Hawea.
