Mount Fucik

Mount Fucik (71°52′S 14°26′E / 71.867°S 14.433°E / -71.867; 14.433) is the central peak (2,305 m) of Kvaevefjellet Mountain, in the Payer Mountains of Queen Maud Land. Discovered and plotted from air photos by German Antarctic Expedition, 1938-39. Mapped from air photos and surveys by Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1956–60; remapped by Soviet Antarctic Expedition, 1960–61, and named after Julius Fučík (1903–43), Czechoslovakian journalist and author.
