Mount Eastman

Mount Eastman (65°10′S 62°59′W / 65.167°S 62.983°W / -65.167; -62.983) is a mountain overlooking the head of Flandres Bay, 4 nautical miles (7 km) south of Pelletan Point on the west coast of Graham Land. Charted by the Belgian Antarctic Expedition under Gerlache, 1897-99. Named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) in 1960 for George Eastman (1854–1932), American inventor, manufacturer and philanthropist who, with W.H. Walker, produced the first practicable photographic rollfilm camera (Kodak) in 1888.
