It lies on the left bank of the river Pesnica to the north of Dornava on the edge of the Slovenske gorice hills. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Styria. It is now included with the rest of the municipality into the Podravje statistical region.[2]
A small chapel in the settlement is dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk and was built in the late 18th to early 19th century.[3]
