Moskovskij Komsomolets (Russian: Московский комсомолец) is a Moscow-based daily newspaper with a circulation approaching one million, covering general news.[1] Founded in 1919, it is now regarded as publishing sensational or provocative items on Russian politics and society.[citation needed]

MK is also known as host for Russia's oldest hit parade - the Zvukovaya Dorozhka (Sound Track, in Russian). It has been published monthly since 1977 and features both Russian and international acts (in Soviet times, these were mostly from the Eastern Bloc).
