Monotygma is a genus of very small sea snails, pyramidellid gastropod mollusks, or micromollusks. This genus is currently placed in the subfamily Chrysallidinae of the family Odostomiidae. The status of this genus was for a long time confused, but the situation was clarified in a review by van Aartsen (1986).
This genus has become a synonym of Monotigma G.B. Sowerby II, 1839
