Monarchy are a British synthpop musical duo. They have released music through Neon Gold Records, Mercury Music, and Moda Music.

In November 2009, the band featured as "Band of the Day" on Guardian.co.uk.[1]

Monarchy's first single "Gold In The Fire / Black The Colour Of My Heart" was released on Neon Gold Records on 1 February 2010.[2] They have created remixes for Ellie Goulding, Kelis, Lady Gaga,[3] Marina & the Diamonds, Jamiroquai, Kylie, OMD,[disambiguation needed ] and Fyfe Dangerfield[citation needed].

Their first live show was broadcast into space from Cape Canaveral, Florida in June 2010, making them the first band ever to perform live into space[citation needed]. They have since performed at various London and UK venues including XOYO, HMV Forum, festivals including The Big Chill (music festival), Popaganda in Sweden, Bestival, Eurosonic in Holland, MIDEM in Cannes, as well as Paris, Dijon, Rouen, Amsterdam, and across Europe. In 2011 they will perform at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Hay Festival and Melt! festival amongst others.

Monarchy play the Together Winter Music Festival in London at the Alexandra Palace on Saturday 26th November.

Around the Sun

Monarchy's debut album, Around the Sun, was released on July 11, 2011.[4]
