Manihotoides D.J.Rogers & Appan[1]Manihot is a plant genus of the spurge family, Euphorbiaceae. It contains around 98 species that are native to the Americas, from Arizona in the United States south to Argentina. The best known member of this genus is the cassava (Manihot esculenta).[2]
Manihot species are used as food plants by the larvae of some Lepidoptera species including Endoclita sericeus and Hypercompe hambletoni.
