Mollweide Glacier

Mollweide Glacier (77°57′S 163°45′E / 77.95°S 163.75°E / -77.95; 163.75) is a steep glacier 1 nautical mile (1.9 km) south of Mount Kowalczyk, descending west from Hobbs Ridge into Blue Glacier, in Victoria Land. The name is one of a group in the area associated with surveying applied in 1993 by the New Zealand Geographic Board (NZGB). Named from the Mollweide projection, an equal area map projection with the parallels and central meridian being straight lines.
