The song was performed 7th on the night of the contest, following Israel's Kaveret with "Natati La Khayay" and preceding Sweden's ABBA with "Waterloo". It received only 6 points, placing 12th in a field of 17.
"Moja generacija" features lyrics based on the growing up of Yugoslav children born and raised around the 1942, hence the alternative title Generacija '42 in some sources[1]
The song was succeeded as Yugoslav representatvia at the 1975 contest by Pepel in Kri with "Dan ljubezni".
