Mohi-Din Binhendi Occupation Director General of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority & President of Binhendi Enterprises Net worth Unknown Billionaires of Dollars in UAE Mohi-Din Binhendi (Arabic:محيي الدين بن هندي), was appointed as the Director General of the Department of Civil Aviation of Dubai[1] and as the CEO of Dubai International Airport in June 1979 by special decree issued by the former Ruler of Dubai H.H Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, having previously served as Director of Airport Customs. Mr. Binhendi, together with Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Civil Aviation, was responsible for the development of Dubai International Airport into the Middle East's busiest air terminal, the award-winning Dubai Duty Free Complex, the New Arrivals Terminal, Aviation Club, Aviation College and Dubai Air Cargo Terminal. He is also one of the Richest UAE Nationals and Arabs with unknown Billions of dollars expected to be the highest in the Emirates and the Gulf.[citation needed]
His other portfolios were as a Member of the Board of Governors at Dubai Aviation College, a Member of the Board of Directors at Emirates Golf Club and Chairman of the Aviation Advisory Committee at Dubai Men's College Gulf Business Awards elected him '1994 Gulf Chief Executive of the Year' for his efforts not only for Dubai International Airport, but in the whole field of civil aviation.[citation needed]
H.E Binhendi is also a diversified business entrepreneur and was accorded the 'Grand Decoration of Honour in Silver for Services to the Republic of Austria' by the President of Austria in January 1995.[citation needed] In January 1996, Mr. BinHendi was conferred the 'Honour of the Order of Merit of the Republic' with the title 'Cavalière' by the President of the Republic of Italy for the promotion and strengthening of cultural and commercial links between Italy and the UAE.
From having investments in the property, furnishing and oilfield supply sectors, he has today expanded into the hospitality, construction, real estate, fashion, Tv Broadcasting, Jewellery, and interior designing.

As the Director General of Department of Civil Aviation in Dubai and as the CEO of Dubai International Airport, Binhendi has played a main role in the development of Dubai. He founded and contributed the growth of Dubai International Airport Terminal 1, Dubai Duty Free, Aviation Club, Aviation College, Dubai Air Cargo Terminal, and Airport Customs.
