ModCloth is an American online retailer, based in Pittsburgh, PA, USA, that specializes in vintage, vintage-inspired and indie clothing, accessories and decor.[3][4][5] ModCloth's website features a blog, ModCloth Blog, that covers fashion trends, cooking, green living and music.[6] ModCloth carries indie labels such as BB Dakota, Tulle, EC Star, Stop Staring, Gentle Fawn and Jeffrey Campbell Shoes. Modcloth now has opened offices in San Francisco.

History

ModCloth was launched as a website in 2002 by Susan Gregg-Koger with the help of her then-boyfriend, now-husband Eric Koger.[7] The pair continued working on the website while attending Carnegie Mellon University.[7] Since 2002, the company has grown enormously with annual revenue in excess of $15 million in 2009.[1] As of June 2010, the company has more than 138 employees.[2]

Recognition

In 2009, ModCloth founders Susan Gregg-Koger and Eric Koger were listed as no. 2 and no. 3 respectively in Inc. Magazine's 30 Under 30: America's Coolest Young Entrepreneurs.[7]. ModCloth was ranked #2 in Inc.'s Inc. 500 list in 2010.[8]
