History

MobileDemand was founded in 2003 by Matt Miller.[1] At that time, the company specialized in manufacturing portable, rugged Tablet PCs with laser-based bar code scanning for the wholesale beer sector.[4][5] With the introduction of smaller Rugged Tablet PC systems and accessories, MobileDemand expanded to a wide variety of vertical markets that employ a mobile workforce including hospitality, manufacturing, military, public safety, retail, transportation and logistics, and warehousing.[2][5]

xTablet T7000
Released in October 2009, the xTablet T7000 ultra-mobile rugged mini tablet computer is small, lightweight (2.6 lbs), and rugged for use in harsh environments.[2][5] It functions like a notebook with a full Windows 7 operating system and has significant memory capacity and Intel Atom processing power unlike traditional Windows® Mobile handhelds.[5] Data input into the Tablet PC is flexible with a built-in numeric keypad, optional QWERTY keyboard, bar code and credit card readers, color camera and 7-inch high-resolution all-light-readable touch screen display.[2][6]

xTablet T8700
Announced in January 2008, the xTablet T8700 is used by food and beverage distributors for direct store delivery (DSD) tracking and inventory management.[5] The new Tablet PC retains the form factor and overall concept of the xTablet series, runs on a full Microsoft Windows 7 operating system, is powered by the Intel Core Duo processor, has faster wireless communications and an 8.7” sunlight readable display.[7]

xTablet C1200
The xTablet C1200 is a rugged convertible tablet PC. It transforms from a rugged laptop to a Tablet PC and can be used outdoors by mobile workers in field service, military, public sector, health care, agriculture and delivery applications. Like a laptop, it runs on a full Windows Operating System and like a tablet PC, it has touch data entry, signature capture, and a color camera. A unique spill-guard design allows liquids to dissipate, reducing the risk of damage.[8]
