Mobify is a mobile technology platform that converts existing websites and e-commerce websites into a version optimized for mobile phones.[1]Co-founded in 2007 by Igor Faletski and John Boxall while they were students at Simon Fraser University[2], the company is currently based in Vancouver Canada.[2] In May 2010, Mobify was named one of the “Top 25 Up and Comers”[3] in Backbone Magazine’s annual ranking of Canadian technology companies.
In June 2011, Bonobos (apparel), chose the Mobify platform to launch its m-commerce store [4] and publishers such as Wired (magazine) use Mobify to create mobile versions of their websites[5].
The platform’s Studio product operates by giving the designer or developer a visual interface to see how their site looks on various mobile devices in real time[6] and is compatible with content management platforms such as WordPress, ExpressionEngine, and Drupal.[6]
