Mitchell Nelson (born 31 August 1989) is an English professional footballer, who plays as a central defender, for Bournemouth of Football League One.[1]

Career

Nelson was signed by Bournemouth at the beginning of the 2010–11 season from Isthmian League Premier Division club Tooting & Mitcham United. Nelson started off his career as a trainee at Colchester United before being released and dropping into non-League football. Bournemouth spotted Nelson while he was having trial spells at Crystal Palace and Reading. He has signed a three-year deal with the Cherries.[2]
