MirPur Kurana, commonly called as Kurana is a middle/ large size village in Disstt. Ghaziabad of Uttar Pradesh, India. The Village is around 65 Kilometers from Delhi and is situated on Meerut-Agra Road. Nearest Town is Gulaothi. With time Kurana has shown signs of progress and development. The majority of Population is that of Muslims who prefer to call themselves as Rajput Muslims. There are several assumptions about the origin of the name Kurana. Most prominent is, the word 'Kurana' is derived from two words Kau & Rana. Kau means Qila(Fort) and Rana means Rajput(The Warriors). Thus it means the Fort of Warriors.
