Vuillermin was born in Aosta.
In 1992 he was a member of the Italian relay team that finished eighth in the 5000 metre relay competition. Two years later he won the gold medal with the Italian team in the 5000 metre relay event and the silver medal in the 500 m competition. In the 1000 metre contest he finished 21st.
