The Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs (MoFEA) is a government ministry of Tanzania. According to its website, the Ministry "manages the overall revenue, expenditure and financing of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and provides the Government with advice on the broad financial affairs of Tanzania in support of the Government’s economic and social objectives." Duties of the Ministry include preparing and presenting the national budget; developing and managing national tax policy, borrowing policy, grant policy, regulation of the financial sector in cooperation with the Bank of Tanzania; and representation of Tanzania to the international financial community. The Ministry advises the government on financial and economic policy.[1]
The Ministry is located in Dar es Salaam;[2] the sitting Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs is the Hon. Mustafa Mkulo (MP).[3]
