Min Chen (陈敏), is a BK-contract research professor (non-tenure track position, funded by Brain Korea project) in School of Computer Science and Engineering at Seoul National University. His performance on China Central TV, "The Same Song" (同一首歌) was broadcast on Feb 18, 2007.[1]Later, he performed Taekwondo and dancing in Asian Center, at The University of British Columbia, on Mar. 8th, 2007.[2] He was interviewed by Chinese Canadian Times where he appeared on the celebrity column in 2007.[3]
He started university program without university entrance exam in 15 years old, and obtained his bachelor and Ph.D degrees at 18 and 23 years old, respectively. After his university study, he devoted his time to eastern philosophy, arts, dancing, Taekwondo, and poem. Meanwhile, he accomplished two post-docs (博士后).
He is the author of OPNET Network Simulation (Tsinghua University Press, 2004). He has more than 90 technical publications. He has served as session chairs for several conferences, including VTC-08, QShine-08, ICACT-09, Trientcom-09, EUC-09, ICC-09, and ADHOCNET-10. He serves as TPC co-chair and web chair for BodyNets-2010, workshop co-chair for CHINACOM 2010. He is the co-chair of MMASN-09 and UBSN-10. He is workshop co-chair for EMC 2010. He is co-chair for ASIT 2010. He was the TPC chair of ASIT-09 and GCCN-10, TPC co-chair of PCSI-09, publicity co-chair of PICom-09. He serves in organizing committee for IEEE ICACT 2010. He is a member in ICST Info. Tech. Committee. He is the corresponding guest editor for ACM MONET SI on "Ubiquitous Body Sensor Networks". He serves as the corresponding guest editor for International Journal of Comm. System (IJCS) SI on "Advances on Multimedia Communications". He is the corresponding guest editor for IJSNet Special Issue on "Recent Advances in Sensor Integration". He serves as editor or associate editor for Wiley I. J. of Security and Communication Networks, Journal of Internet Technology, KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems (TIIS), International Journal of Sensor Networks (IJSNet). He is managing editor for IJAACS. Currently, his research focuses on multimedia and communications, such as multimedia transmission over wireless network, wireless sensor networks, body sensor networks, RFID, ubiquitous computing, intelligent mobile agent, pervasive computing and networks, E-healthcare, and medical application, etc. He is an IEEE Senior Member.
