Coaching career
Goering was the head football coach for the Bethel Threshers located in North Newton, Kansas. He held that position for five seasons, from 1954 until 1956 and then again from 1958 to 1959. His coaching record at Bethel was 14 wins, 28 losses and 2 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2010 season, this ranks him #7 at Bethel in total wins and #9 at the school in winning percentage (.341).[1]
