Milk & Honey (Milk and Honey) is a German pop group. It was founded in 2006 with the two singers Anne Ross and Manel Filali. The duo announced in late 2006 with his debut single was Habibi (je t'aime).

Nearly a year after Ross had got out of the talent band Preluders, took on the German music producer Uwe Fahrenkrog-Petersen of the singer. He formed the record label Warner Music together with the derived from Algeria singer Filali, the duo Milk & Honey. In collaboration with the producers Bülent Aris and Felix Schönewald was the ethno-pop song Habibi(favorite), combined with pop rhythms of traditional oriental melodies.

The duo performed at the television station ProSieben in the talent showpop starand in the showThePerfectDinner. Habibi reached the Top 20 of the German single charts. On 7 September 2007, coupled with a second single called Didi.

Members

Anne Ross ("Milk") (* March 17, 1985 in Dersum) grew up in Northern Germany. The entry into the entertainment business, she succeeded in the summer of 2003 by the talent show Popstars - Das Duell. During the show she beat out many competitors and eventually became a member of girl group Preluders. With the first single from the band Ross in December 2003 reached No. 1 on the German charts. After another great success and failed to stagnate the musical work, she left in late 2005 as the third of the original five members of the group.

Manel Filali ("Honey") (born 11 December 1981 Algeria) comes from Algeria. Even as a child she moved with her family in Paris, where she was musically influenced by French rap. Since 2009 she is married to professional football Karim Matmour.
