Milionár (English translation: Millionaire) was a Slovak game show based on the original British format of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. The show was hosted by Iveta Malachovská (earlier by Martin Nikodým). The main goal of the game was to win 10 million Slovak korunas by answering 15 multiple-choice questions correctly. There were 4 lifelines - fifty fifty (pol na pol), phone a friend (priateľ na telefóne), ask the audience (opýtať sa publika) and switch the question. The game show was broadcast from 2000 to March 26, 2008. From 2000 to 2006 it was shown on Slovak TV station Markíza and from 2007 to 2008 it was shown on the Slovak TV station Jednotka. When a contestant got the fifth question correct, he left with at least 10,000 korunas (earlier - 5,000 korunas), and tenth question - 320,000 korunas (earlier 100,000 korunas). New episodes were shown on every Thursday and Sunday at 21:00 (UTC+1).
