Mildly Offensive (foaled February 14, 2008 in Kentucky) is an American Thoroughbred filly. Her sire is Sharp Humor and her dam is Personal Flag's mare It's Personal. Owned by Warren B. Williamson, that also owned champion Nashoba's Key and she is trained by Carla Gaines. Mildly Offensive was ridden by jockey Rafael Bejarano in all her 3 starts. Mildly Offensive is a very tall dark bay/brown filly. She was bred by WinStar and was bought at the Keeneland Association September 2009 Yearling Sale for $120,000.

Career

She made her first start by breaking her maiden by 4 1/2 lengths going 6 furlongs. Because of her impressive maiden win her team entered her in the Santa Paula Stakes. She went as a favourite going 6 1/3 furlongs in 1.15.70. She won the race again by 4 1/2 lengths. Than she entered in the Manhattan Beach Stakes as a favourite. She raced on turf for the first time. When they came out of the gate Mildly Offensive had a bad break and she got pushed aside but she went for the lead. At the end she finished a disappointing 4th place as the daughter of Sharp Humor had a high hopes.She finished 4th again in A Gleam Handicap where she raced with older females.

Popularity

Mildly Offensive become very popular over Facebook. The page earned more than 300 fans in only 2 months. But she became even more popular because of having a "horse boyfriend" on Facebook. She is a "girlfriend" to Louisiana Derby winner Pants On Fire. It was also created a website for the young filly where every day there is posted a diary entry. Her fans were very happy with the website as they follow her on her website or on her Facebook page. Already her maiden win made her as a "Rising Star" and with her Santa Paula win she had high hopes for her next race.
