Milak
میلک— Village — Coordinates: 30°58′0″N 61°49′0″E / 30.966667°N 61.816667°E Country Iran Province Sistan and Baluchistan Elevation[1] 478 m (1,571 ft) Milak ( میلکPersian) is a village and transport terminal in the Miaan Kangi district of Zabol County, in the north of Sistan and Baluchistan province of Iran. Situated on the Afghanistan-Iran border, it is one of the major junctions that connects land-locked Afghanistan to international waters through Iran. After the collapse of Taliban in Afghanistan, Millak gained importance in the transit of goods to Afghanistan. In recent years Afghanistan, Iran and India have agreed to activate the Millak route by building a new international logistics hub in Chabahar, connected to Millak.
Milak is on the border with Afghanistan, and there is a border crossing to the Afghan town of Zaranj, opened in 2004.[2]
There is also a project for a railway connection to Chabahar via Zahedan.
The Milak Bridge crosses the Helmand River.
