Mikhail Khazin Born 5 May 1962
MoscowNationality Russian Other names Russian: Михаил Леонидович Хазин Mikhail Leonidovich Khazin (born 1962), a Russian economist, publicist and president of the consulting firm, Neokon, is noted as the author of the book: "Sunset of the Dollar Empire and the End of the Pax Americana", published in 2003.
Khazin, who studied mathematics at the Yaroslavl University and Moscow State University, worked at the Soviet Academy of Sciences (1984–1991) and the State Working Center of Economic Reforms (1993–1994). Between 1995 and 1997 Khazin led the Credit Policy Department at the Russian government's Economics Ministry and between 1997 and 1998 he was deputy head of Russia's Presidential Economics Department[1].
