Mixed martial arts career

Lullo began his mixed martial arts career competing mostly in regional promotions across his native Midwestern United States, compiling a record of 8-2 before signing with the UFC in 2010.

Ultimate Fighting Championship

Lullo made his promotional debut against touted prospect Edson Barboza, on November 20, 2010 at UFC 123, replacing an injured Darren Elkins.[1] Barboza defeated Lullo via third round TKO.

Lullo was expected to face Mackens Semerzier in a featherweight bout on September 17, 2011 at UFC Fight Night 25[2] However, Semerzier was forced from the bout with an injury[3] and was replaced by Robbie Peralta. Lullo was defeated via unanimous decision.[4] After going 0-2 in the UFC, he was released from the promotion.[5]
