Mike Hewitt is a Canadian author of financial articles and founder of DollarDaze.org, a website on the instability of the global fiat monetary system and investment strategies on mining companies.
One of the primary views expressed on the website is the view that the paper currencies of the world have been undergoing marked devaluation since the US dollar ceased to be convertible to gold for non-American citizens on August 15, 1971 (It had been illegal for US citizens to hold gold for investment purposes since the Roosevelt’s Executive Order 6102 of April 5, 1933).[1] Since that time, all volume of outstanding currency in circulation has been increasing at ever accelerating rates. Important commodity prices such as gold, copper and oil are destined to rise in price, because the currencies are going down in value.
Mike Hewitt's columns appear in Financialsense.com, The Market Oracle, Gold-Eagle, SafeHaven, GoldSeek, and 24hGold. In addition, his website, DollarDaze.org, provides his archived columns and free free financial services including a wide range of commodity and index quotes.
Mike Hewitt currently resides in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
