Mihály Bertalanits (Slovene: Mihael Bertalanitš, Prekmurian: Miháo Bertalanitš) (November 8, 1788 – January 8, 1853) was Slovene cantor, teacher and poet in Hungary.
Born in a deceased village Gerečavci (Gerecsavecz, Gericsavecz) between Večeslavci and Sveti Jurij near Rogašovci. Bertalanits was son of peasant György Bertalanics (sic!) and Katarina (unknown surname). In 1806 was auxiliary teacher in Beltinci, in 1808 teacher in Felsőszölnök. Here was an auxiliary teacher Ferenc Marics, his father György, the teacher and cantor of Apátistvánfalva was born also in Gerečavci.
Bertalanits and Marics was copied and reworked for themselves of the prekmurian hymnal of Ruzsics cantor-teacher. Marics use this hymnal in Istvánfalva, Bertalanits in Pečarovci. Bertalanits lived here until his death. He died of pneumonia.
