Football career
An unsuccessful FC Barcelona youth graduate, Mora played his first professional years with lowly teams, also mostly in native Catalonia. His biggest success was playing 27 matches in 1998–99's second division with UE Lleida.
In January 2001, Mora moved to neighbouring Portugal, first with another lowly outfit, Madeira's C.F. União. For 2003–04, he moved to the top level with Rio Ave FC, and was the Vila do Conde side's first-choice for the vast majority of his lengthy spell.
