MicroConstants, Inc. Type Private Industry Biotechnology, Contract Research Organization Founded 1998 Headquarters San Diego, California, United States Services bioanalytical method development, drug metabolism (DMPK) assays, PK analysis, immunoassay services Website www.microconstants.com MicroConstants, Inc. is a GLP-compliant Contract Research Organization (CRO) based in San Diego, California offering bioanalytical, drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, formulation analysis and immunoassay support services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies[1] developing new chemical entities (NCE). The contract research services provided by MicroConstants’ bioanalytical, drug metabolism and immunoassay departments help advance their clients’ drug development programs through investigational new drug (IND) toxicology studies and clinical studies.[2]
MicroConstants’ bioanalytical services include developing and validating bioanalytical methods using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with mass spectrometric (MS/MS) detection. These methods, or assays, are then used to analyze samples (plasma, tumor, urine, fecal, etc.) from drug development studies.[3] MicroConstants uses UPLC/MS systems and laboratory equipment from Waters Corporation for method development projects.[4]
In June 2007, MicroConstants opened a second bioanalytical laboratory in Beijing, China. On March 25, 2009, MicroConstants Inc. announced that MicroConstants China Inc. had met United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) requirements.[5]
