Character biography

Michael (better known as Mick) worked with V.I.P Security before he got the job as a detective with the Sydney Water Police.[1] He initially worked with Frank Holloway (Colin Friels) and Rachel Goldstein (Catherine McClements), and when Frank left, he met Jack Christey (Steve Bisley) for the first time.

In season four, Mick had met and had a short-lived relationship with Suzi Abromavich (Roxane Wilson)[2], an ex-prostitute, who Rachel constantly reminded Mick not to trust (having met her in season three).

In season five, Mick was the subject of a sexual harassment claim by a woman who worked with ASIO,[3] which he fought and the charge was subsequently dropped.[4] He also asked Alex St. Clare (Dee Smart) out, but she was reluctant because of their working relationship.[5]

In season six, Mick's sister Jess asked him to help her husband beat a criminal charge, but in doing so meant that his brother-in-law was murdered because of it.[6]
