Michael Rapoport (born 6 October 1948) is a German mathematician. He currently holds a chair for arithmetic algebraic geometry at the University of Bonn. In 1992 he was awarded the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize and he is the recipient of the 2011 Heinz Hopf Prize.

Michael Rapoport is the son of Samuel Mitja Rapoport, and brother of Tom Rapoport, both renowned biochemists.
