Sir Michael Townley Featherstone Briggs Q.C. (born 1954) is a Justice of the High Court.
Education
He was educated at Charterhouse School and Magdalen College, Oxford.
Work
He was called to the bar at Lincoln's Inn in 1978 and was the Junior Counsel to Crown Chancery from 1990-94. He took silk in 1994. He has been a Bencher of Lincoln's Inn, an Attorney General of the Duchy of Lancaster since 2001. Her Majesty the Queen approved the honour of Knighthood be conferred upon him in 2006 after he was appointed Justice of the High Court.[1]
