Michael Blevins & Beth Clary

Michael Blevins and Beth Clary are co-authors on the musical "Count To Ten" that played Off-Broadway at the Theatre of Saint Clements in New York City. Blevins is the bookwriter of the musical and co-authored the lyrics with Clary. The music for "Count To Ten" was created by Michael Blevins, Bruce Sacks, Scott Knipe and David Wollenberger.

Blevins attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and the University of North Carolina. He performed at Opryland USA, in Nashville for a couple of years in the late 1970s before relocating to New York where he enjoyed a successful career as an actor, with numerous credits on the Broadway stage and also in films that include, "Chaplin" with Robert Downey Jr. and Diane Lane, and "A Chorus Line" in which he played the role "Mark". Michael Blevins is a published playwright and a respected New York performing arts educator and director/choreographer. Blevins and "Count To Ten" received the 2008 National Youth Theatre Award for Best New Musical. Blevins also received an Honorable Mention for his choreography for "Count To Ten" in the 2009 New York Musical Theatre Festival's "Best of Fest" Awards. Blevins was a featured actor in the Theatre @ Saint Clements production produced by The Group Theatre Too.

Beth Clary, graduated from Ball State University and was an Ole Olsen Theatrical Scholarship recipient. She began her performing career at the early age of 9 appearing in the World's Largest Amateur Circus in Peru, Indiana for 10 years. She founded, created and the now noted French Wood Circus in Handcock, NY at the French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts where she worked with Blevins and began her first collaborative effort as lyricist on "Count To Ten". A mother of six, she lives in New Palestine, Indiana with her husband, Randy.

In addition to the Off-Broadway production at the Theatre at Saint Clements, the Blevins and Clary musical, "Count To Ten" has played over 50 performances across the nation including venues from New Jersey to Tennessee and has been featured on BroadwayWorld.com and in Stage Directions and Dance Spirit Magazine. A percentage of revenues from two different New York productions went to support the Broadway League's New Producer's Alliance.
