Mica Heli Guides is a backcountry heliskiing lodge located on the Kinbasket Lake across from the Mica Dam in British Columbia, Canada. Mica Heli Guides is located about two hours drive north of the town of Revelstoke

Mica Heli Guides was started in 2003 by Dan McDonald. Dan McDonald has been in the backcountry skiing business since 1986 with the founding of Island Lake Lodge.

Mica Heli Guides operates small group heliskiing, with each group consisting of four skiers and a guide in an A-star Helicopter, with a maximum occupancy of sixteen guests at the lodges. The A-Star helicopters are owned and operated by Arrow Helicopters. Arrow Helicopters is owned by pilot Matthew Callaghan who has in excess of 11,000 hours of flight time and who is a Certified Parks Canada Mountain Rescue Pilot.

Mica Heliskiing Lodges

Mica Heliskiing's tenure encompasses approximately 72,000 hectares on the western slopes of the Rocky Mountains in British Columbia, Canada.

The Rocky Mountain Trench which separates the Columbia Mountains to the west and the Rocky Mountains to the East runs directly over the Mica Lodges. The ski terrain of Mica Heliskiing is located on the western slopes of the Rocky Mountains.

Mica Heliskiing is only accessible by helicopter in the winter and barge in the summer as there are no roads leading to the Mica Lodges. Mica is remotely located and off the grid. The nearest point of road access is located at the Mica Dam just past the town of Mica Creek and approximately two hours drive north of Revelstoke.
