Mian Yawar Zaman

Mian Yawar Zaman, son of Mian Muhammad Zaman, was born on March 21, 1961 at Okara, Pakistan, and graduated in 1980 from Government College Okara.^[1] An agriculturist, who has been elected as Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2002 and 2007 respectively. He belongs to a political family. His grandfather, Mian Ghulam Muhammad was a Member of Punjab Legislative Assembly during 1951-55; and his father was Member National Assembly during 1985-88, 1990–93, 1997–99 and also functioned as Minister of State, Federal Minister and Chairman Federal Land Commission.

Early life

Mian Yawar Zaman was born in Okara on March 21, 1961 in an Arain Family. He is the youngest son of Mian Muhammad Zaman, while his father was an agriculturist and was Member National Assembly during 1985-88, 1990–93, 1997–99 and also functioned as Minister of State, Federal Minister and Chairman Federal Land Commission.his grandfather MIAN CHIRAG DIN was served vice chairman district board Montgomery now sahiwal for 34 years continuously.

Mian Yawar Zaman got his schooling from Sadiq Public School, Bahawalpur. He is a graduate from Government College Okara in 1980.

Political Background

Mian Yawar Zaman belongs to a well known political family of Okara, the Arain family. A famous politician of this family, Mian Abdul Haq was also among the leaders of Pakistan Movement and was also a member of the National Assembly. His grandfather, Mian Ghulam Muhammad was the member of Punjab Legislative Assembly during 1951-55. His father, Mian Muhammad Zaman was elected as a member of the National Assembly three times and also functioned as Federal Minister, Minister of State and Chairman Federal Land Commission. The family has been a part of Pakistan Muslim League from the very beginning.
