MiO is available artificially sweetened, and is gluten and calorie free. MiO flavors contain zero calories per a serving of 8 fluid ounces. It is sold in multi-serve bottles, with 24 eight ounce servings per bottle. Each bottle contains a single flavor. More of the flavoring can be squirted in producing a stronger flavor, hence the motto "Make it yours". All current varieties contain no calories, fat, sodium, carbohydrates, caffeine, sugars, and protein. MiO does contain propylene glycol[4] and artificial flavors.[5]

Advertising
MiO is advertised by The Second City character Sassy Gay Friend, who creates videos in which he shows female characters and passers-by how MiO lets them take control of their lives and their drinks. [6]
