List of metropolitan areas in Switzerland. Switzerland has five metropolitan areas as defined by Swiss Statistics[1]:

Metropolitan areas

  • Zürich metropolitan area
  • Basel metropolitan area
  • Bern metropolitan area (Espace Mittelland[2])
  • Ticino metropolitan area
  • Geneva-Lausanne metropolitan area
