Mericle Rock

Mericle Rock (73°39′S 163°15′E / 73.65°S 163.25°E / -73.65; 163.25) is a nunatak in the middle of Campbell Glacier, approximately 9 nautical miles (17 km) from its head, in Victoria Land. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960-64. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for David L. Mericle, U.S. Navy, electronics technician at McMurdo Station, 1967.
