Mercer Area High School is a high school located in Mercer, Pennsylvania, United States. The school's colors are Royal blue and white. The school mascot is the Mercer Mustang (nicknamed "Mustang Sally" by residents of Mercer).

The school's football team is coached by Pat McClearn. The Mustangs are currently preparing for another grueling season of football.

The school's student news team, WMRC News, films and edits a news segment daily.
Choir Department
The Choir is a mixture of Middle School Choir, Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, and Show Choir. Chorus sings a mixture of all types of music.

The journalism department at M.H.S. is advised by librarian and English teacher Mrs. Lynn Boal. The staff consists of nine sophomores, two juniors, and five seniors. The editors for the school paper are seniors Leah Moose and Janeen Berger and juniros Kyle Love and Kayla Austin. The paper is a long standing tradition at Mercer, and can be traced back (hardcopies)until 1954. The name of the paper currently is Hoofbeats. There is an article published every month of the school year.
Musical
M.H.S.'s 2011 musical is Bye Bye Birdie. The directors are choir director Mrs. Michalee Christy, English teacher Mrs. Nicole Walzer, and English teacher Mrs. Danielle Stemen,
