Meenkunnam Syrian Catholic Church founded by Varghese Payapilly Palakkappilly

Meenkunnam is between Muvattupuzha and Koothattukulam in the M.C Road. Exactly 8 km from Muvattupuzha, and 11 km from Koothattukulam. The main source of income is from rubber plantations.

Varghese Payapilly Palakkappilly

One of the famous Syrian Christian pilgrimage centres, St. Joseph's Catholic Church is located here. It was founded by the Servant of God Varghese Payapilly Palakkappilly. The main attraction is a copy of Michelangelo's Pietà which is situated in front of the church.
