Médine, whose real name is Medine Zaouiche, is a French rapper from Le Havre. He is of Algerian heritage. He is part of the hip-hop collective La Boussole and DIN records since 1996. Practicing Muslim, many of his lyrics deal with the hardships faced by people with low economic level, migrants, oppressed individuals, and Muslims in the Western world. He also wrote several articles for Time Magazine in 2005. [1] One was entitled "How Much More French Can I Be".[citation needed]
