Acute hemorrhagic edema of infancy (also known as "Acute hemorrhagic edema of childhood,"^[1] "Finkelstein's disease,"^[2] "Infantile postinfectious iris-like purpura and edema,"^[2] "Medallion-like purpura,"^[2] "Purpura en cocarde avec oedema,"^[2] and "Seidlmayer syndrome"^[2]) is a skin condition that affects children under the age of two with a recent history of upper respiratory illness, a course of antibiotics, or both.^[2]:833
