McIlroy Peak (54°11′S 36°46′W / 54.183°S 36.767°W) is a peak rising to 745 m west of Husvik Harbor and 0.8 nautical miles (1.5 km) south of Mount Barren, South Georgia. Named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) in 1990 after Dr. James A. McIlroy (1879–1968), surgeon on the British Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition, 1914–16, in Endurance, and on the Shackleton-Rowett Antarctic Expedition, 1921–22, in
